HSK

hskHISHAM, SOBRI & KADIR (HSK) was established in Kuala Lumpur in 1972.  Since its formation, HSK has engaged in the general practice of law concentrating in the fields of banking and finance, conveyancing and litigation, among others. In line with Malaysia’s aspiration to position herself as a hub for Islamic banking and finance, HSK has, for the past decade or so, sought to establish a full spectrum of services in that practice area. Today, HSK is one of the more established firms in the country in this area of practice. HSK has grown into an organization of 10 partners, 31 associates and a support staff force of 83 personnel. Currently, its main areas of practice are as follows:- Banking and Finance (Conventional and Islamic), Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisition, Insolvency and Restructuring, Privatisation, Infrastructure and Energy, Property and Conveyancing, Litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, Intellectual Property.

 
IIIF Inc

iiifTHE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ISLAMIC FINANCE INCORPORATED (IIIF Inc.) is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and engages its operation worldwide. IIIF Inc. provides and introduces professional development programmes for institutional and corporate clientele as well as general public, focusing on the Islamic financial services and products. It was established with the aim of fulfilling the need of Islamic finance knowledge globally and producing Islamic finance savvy professionals.

 
MIFC

mifcIn August 2006, the Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC) initiative was launched to promote Malaysia as a major hub for international Islamic finance. The MIFC is a collaborative effort by the country's financial and market regulators, including the Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia), Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA) and Bursa Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange) - together with industry participation from the banking, takaful and capital market sectors in Malaysia.

 
AIBIM

aibimThe main objective of the Association is to promote the establishment of sound Islamic banking systems and practices in Malaysia in cooperation and consultation with Bank Negara Malaysia or other regulatory bodies in Malaysia.The Association also aims at promoting and representing the interests of members by all means and methods consistent with the laws of Malaysia in or connected with Malaysia and to render where possible such advice or assistance as may be deemed necessary and expedient to members.Besides the above AIBIM promotes education and training in Islamic banking so as to upgrade Islamic banking expertise in Malaysia. In pursuing the above objectives the Association works in co-operation with other similar associations in the country and elsewhere in the world.

 
MTA

mtaMALAYSIAN TAKAFUL ASSOCIATION (MTA) was established in December 2002 under the Malaysian Societies Act of 1966. It is a mandatory association, as spelt out in the Takaful Act 1984, where all Takaful operators in the country are required to be members of MTA before they can commence operations. Its roles and functions are similar to those of other associations such as General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM) and Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM), which are also mandatory associations for the conventional general and life insurance companies.
